A day late and a lot of dollars short

A day late and a lot of dollars short

Hi, hello, welcome

Happy 5th of July dear friends! I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday and partied it up for the sake of America. I am so very sorry I didn’t get a post up yesterday.. I just didn’t know if people would even be coherent enough to read yesterday so I decided to save today’s post for a day of crippling hangovers and daunting sobriety.

No major casualties on the home front for me, but that is only because I am gearing up for the big ol 21st birthday extravaganza coming this weekend. And if you ever thought that you spent your 21st birthday the right way, I want to tell you that you are wrong.. only because it will be getting HOT IN HEREEEE when I am partying it up with Nelly.. and my grandma. Is it weird that I don’t know which one I am more excited for?? Big Mama Farley can really get down, and she has even threatened to wear my red thigh-highs to the club, so look out world, here she comes!

Anywhooooo today is a Wednesday (I know it’s Thursday) in Ciera’s blogging world, so it is a FAVORITE DAY!!! This post is brought to you by the unnecessary trips I take to Sephora and Ulta every week. I really will never wrap my head around the fact that my whole bag weighs less than 10 ounces but somehow still costs me $95??? Like how? What did I do to deserve such misfortune?? Like the other day I walked up to the counter at Sephora with three things that could all comfortably fit in the palm of one of my hands and the cashier has the audacity to say, “Your total is $115, that’s a good deal!” Umm how? So confusion aside, the moral of the story is that beauty is not pain.. it’s expensive. Since I love you all though, I sacrifice myself to the treachery of expensive beauty care so I can help you know where to throw your money at.. and this post is muy importante, so better late than never if you ask me.  So here we go with my favorites for the week. 🙂

  1. The most perfect-est lash primer known to the world and heavens above. This Lancôme lash primer gives you the spider-y-est lashes in the best way possible. I had seen another blogger rave about it, and in my poor financial decision phase the other day, I had to have it.. and I do no regret it one bit. (It doesn’t flake or make your eyelashes clump)
  2. This one is gonna throw you for a loop, I am sure of it.. but the IGK Dirty Spray is everything I have been looking for. So ya know how based off of the constructs of society we must wash our hair like once a week? And then for some reason the hair gods punish us for this behavior by leaving clean hair looking flat and lifeless? Well the dirty spray is pretty much the opposite of a dry shampoo and 20 times the power of texturizing spray. It gives your hair some grit and texture to hold some curl and avoid it sticking flat to your head. It is truly amazing.
  3. LOVING TAN tanning mousse is where it’s at yo. I have tried a lot of different self tanners, as my mumsy and I are on a never-ending hunt to find the best one, and let me tell ya.. I think I have found it. Loving Tan 2 hour express in the Dark shade leaves me as bronzed as a goddess and as browned as a biscuit. It is the perfect shade, super quick application and development, and it doesn’t sweat off. Whoop Whoop!

So if you were wondering what to do with your excess money, get yourself a couple of these products and be so so happy with your life. And tomorrow I promise to have the cute workout gear post up. 🙂

What else could you possibly need?

What else could you possibly need?

Hey boo boo thangs,

Middle of the week and still just chillin ya know? I have just a few confessions to make and then we can get right on into it..

1. I accidentally copied and pasted my Spanish homework into a blogpost and hit publish because I wasn’t paying attention. I think I caught it in time, but if you got an email with a post including information on the colonial period under the ruling of Hernan Cortes all in Spanish.. I apologize. Maybe if ya did get the email you could read up on it and learn a couple things??

2. I literally sucked fabric softener up into a straw to get it out of the dispenser thing before accidentally washing my workout clothes with it. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER ON WORKOUT CLOTHES PEOPLE.. But really I am still wondering why I was committed to getting that stuff out. Anything for the lulus I suppose. On a very unrelated note, asking for a friend, how much fabric softener ingesting will kill you?

3. I am officially addicted to cold brew. I was never a coffee gal, I am tellin’ ya. I would get an Americano if I needed to stay up to study or was uber tired, but I can’t say I ever really enjoyed it. BUT the other day I tried a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew from the Starbs and now I can’t imagine my life without it. Please someone save me before I become that person who drinks 12 cups a day.

4. And last but not least I have now watched ‘The Kissing Booth’ on Netflix 16 times.. but who’s counting? NOT ME. If you are into that whole cheesy romcom thing with a smidge of Disney channel vibes, I would highly recommend it. Ever since they took The Hannah Montana Movie off of Netflix life has been a challenge, but I think I am ready to love again, and this movie is filling that void for now.

OKKKKKKK, you are so welcome for those random facts of the day. I have absolutely zero idea why I felt compelled to share those things with you, but what’s done is done. And obviously as you all know and had your calendars marked for, today is a favorites day and I am here with all of my June favorites. Because it is almost the end of the month and I have a full week of birthday extravaganza posts coming next week, this needed to happen today!!!! So without further ado, here are my June favorites 🙂

I guess I was on a pink kick for this edition of Ciera’s faves.. but maybe you’re about that life. Hopefully you enjoyed my tell all and a quick edition of FAVORITASSS. Also so sorry for all of the aggressive typing. Adios pals.

I like it like thattttt

Hey honey pie sweet bottoms,

The sun is shining, I am covered in dirt from the marina, and Oakley is soaking wet while passed out on my bed.. so no better time to write a blogpost than now. And of course today’s post is all about my current faves so you are in for a real treat.

Lately I have been trying to change up my products and try new things instead of sticking with the exact routine every time just so I can tell you all about the hippest and happenin’. I figure it is my civic duty to spend my money on the trends so I can save you some time and money by leading you in the right direction. You can thank me now or later, your choice. 😉 but really, hopefully these blogposts give you some ideas of the things you absolutely need and the ones you can most likely skip.

Alsoooooo I don’t really believe in negative reviews on my blog because that is no good for anyone so don’t expect me to tell you a list of things you shouldn’t try, but instead the best of the best things you SHOULD try. Okay, I will get off my soapbox now.. just had to give a quick little spiel (and let us all laugh at the fact that up until now I thought that ‘spiel’ was spelled ‘schpeel’… close)

Now onto the favorites, so here we go!

Number one – Bio oil is where it’s at. It heals all wounds, probably contains unicorn tears and locks of angel hair to make it work so well.. but to be honest it is the best moisturizer/skin healer known to mankind. This stuff has made my battle scars disappear.

Number two – the CUTEST pink suede hat you will ever see. My mom and I are on the constant hunt for cute Dodgers hats and I think this one officially tops the list. They also have it for the Yankees, but no one really likes them anyway.

Number three – Watermelon glow mask… I am the biggest fan of watermelon you will ever meet so I may be biased, but this stuff is top notch. Ever since I started Accutane my face has been dryer than the overcooked chicken Brittany and I attempt every week, but this mask has saved my life. It leaves your skin real glowy and smells so good you could eat it.. I wouldn’t do that though.

I hope you loved this week’s installment once again. Until next time. <3
