Might as well buy it

Hello again dear avid readers,

I was going to title this post “What is in my bag”.. shopping bag that is, but I was concerned people would skim past it, thinking it was a post all about what is in my purse. And let me tell ya, the contents of my purse are not exciting. So I really want to discuss what is in my shopping bag/cart in some of my favorite online shops. After this post, I hope it will inspire you to add them to your cart as well, and once it’s there… well, might as well buy it.

Now I think today I am going to keep the writing to a minimum and mostly show pictures, but don’t hold me to that, please and thanks! I have a terrible habit of going through my favorite online retailers frequently and adding 67398 items to my cart, only to realize later that I have no possible way to afford all of these things (like I didn’t already know I couldn’t pay for them in the first place, ha). And then the worst thing happens when I get the dreaded email that says “Looks like you forgot something” from each store.. but no, I haven’t forgotten, I think about the 6 pairs of shoes, 3 dresses, and bathing suit every hour of the day!!!!! So this post is all about the things I’m barely surviving without, and will immediately purchase once I get a large influx of cash.

If you could all like not buy everything in my size though, that would be great, since I would still like to purchase all of this myself.. ๐Ÿ˜‰ just kidding, buy it all up, unless its a size small or 27 as the last one, then it’s mine.. just kidding again. Kay, I will stop talking now. Happy Tuesday, see ya Thursday!

Over the knee, how I love thee

Over the knee, how I love thee

Hello ladies & possibly gents,

It’s Tuesdayyyyyy, which can mean many things.. Taco Tuesday, $5 movie Tuesday, hair washing day for you all of you dry shampoo-ers, or maybe even the day you are finally getting around to that New Year’s resolution and heading to the gym (better late than never). But the main thing we are focusing on today is blogpost Tuesday. Maybe I should trademark that or something?? Probably not, but anyway, hi again.

Today I would love to chat about a super simple outfit that somehow looks like you put a lot of thought into your outfit. But here’s the kicker, this look only requires TWO pieces! If it is one of those days when putting on pants sounds worse than a root canal, or planning an outfit can take no longer than 2 minutes, try this baby out. All you need is a sweatshirt (t-shirt, shift, loose midi, or casual mini) dress and some OTK boots.ย IMG_0357_Facetune_04-01-2018-14-52-52

My sweatshirt dress is a Free People beaut, and one of the comfiest dresses I have ever owned. This dress is categorized as a tunic, and is plenty long to be worn as a dress, but can also be paired well with a pair of leggings and some cute booties. It also comes in three other colors, but I seem to have a special place in my heart for all things pink. This thing feels like your favorite food, makeup, and paint-stained sweatshirt, but looks cute & flirty. Some other dress options to pull off this look may include:

OTK 1OTK 2OTK 4OTK 3And since pants are not necessary for this outfit, we will skip over them and thank whoever decided that women can wear dresses.

The OTK (over the knee) boots can function as your pants kinda sorta.. in the sense that they keep your legs warmer than having absolutely nothing on those babies. These nice ones are courtesy of Ellen’s closet, but you (and I) could get our own pair here. Make sure boots like these can be tied or are already the tightest thing known to mankind on your thighs, or prepare to pull your OTK boots up your leg at least 2575 times in a day. Here are a couple of other options as well:

OTK 7OTK 5OTK 6That’s all I have got for today, so go out, don’t wear pants (wear a dress), put on some sassy boots and get wild!

Trend Report 2018: Ciera Edition

Trend Report 2018: Ciera Edition

Hi there,

Happy New Year! It feels like we haven’t chatted since last year. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I swear that may be my only bad joke for the day.. But really, I hope everyone had a fun and safe new year! Now that we are here in 2018, I thought it would be best to highlight this upcoming year with all of the trends you should most definitely try. 2018 is the year for you to branch out, try something new, wear something new, and command attention.

I am sure you have probably all set some resolutions and heard countless people tell you theirs, so I won’t bore you with mine.. but just know, 2018 is about to get serious, seriously good. So I hope you will all stick around and see what I have in store for this year.

Now I know I am not an award-winning fashion magazine, celebrity stylist, or trend reporter, but today I am going to do my very best to round up the best trends and do’s ofย  2018. I will even give ya a few options to do some shopping and get a head start on your new wardrobe. Here we go, people.

Trend 1: Yellow

For some, this one may be hard to get into.. but trust me, a yellow can boost any tan by 4 shades and even add an extra glow to that neutral outfit you always seem to gravitate towards. Yellow is the new pink this year (I am not kidding), so replace some of that salmon and blush and invite in canary and sunshine.

Trend 2: Mules

They are the loafers you swore you would never wear, but I promise that you need a pair (or two) in your life. They are so comfy and extra trendy so they can be paired with the simplest of outfits.

Trend 3: Long layers

Pair a trench coat with a t-shirt and jeans and you instantly have a trendy outfit. Try pairing long layers with short hems to create dimension and lengthen your legs.

Trend 4: Lavender

I love a good lavender bag or girly top. It is the perfect color to transition from spring to summer and back to fall by pairing it with whites and light denim for spring, monochromatic looks for summer, and dark denim and khaki in the fall.

Trend 5: Fringe

Fringe can make any outfit into an edgy, fun new look. Fringe can be paired with patterns, neutrals, and even other textures.

Trend 6: Being kind to others

2017 was a rough year for everyone, and all of us could use more kindness. Be polite, say thank you, tell a stranger you love their shoes, buy someone’s coffee, open doors for others, and just try to smile more. A little bit of kindness can change your own as well as others outlook on life.ย IMG_9803.jpg

Have a great week, and a fabulous year!
