What else could you possibly need?

What else could you possibly need?

Hey boo boo thangs,

Middle of the week and still just chillin ya know? I have just a few confessions to make and then we can get right on into it..

1. I accidentally copied and pasted my Spanish homework into a blogpost and hit publish because I wasn’t paying attention. I think I caught it in time, but if you got an email with a post including information on the colonial period under the ruling of Hernan Cortes all in Spanish.. I apologize. Maybe if ya did get the email you could read up on it and learn a couple things??

2. I literally sucked fabric softener up into a straw to get it out of the dispenser thing before accidentally washing my workout clothes with it. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER ON WORKOUT CLOTHES PEOPLE.. But really I am still wondering why I was committed to getting that stuff out. Anything for the lulus I suppose. On a very unrelated note, asking for a friend, how much fabric softener ingesting will kill you?

3. I am officially addicted to cold brew. I was never a coffee gal, I am tellin’ ya. I would get an Americano if I needed to stay up to study or was uber tired, but I can’t say I ever really enjoyed it. BUT the other day I tried a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew from the Starbs and now I can’t imagine my life without it. Please someone save me before I become that person who drinks 12 cups a day.

4. And last but not least I have now watched ‘The Kissing Booth’ on Netflix 16 times.. but who’s counting? NOT ME. If you are into that whole cheesy romcom thing with a smidge of Disney channel vibes, I would highly recommend it. Ever since they took The Hannah Montana Movie off of Netflix life has been a challenge, but I think I am ready to love again, and this movie is filling that void for now.

OKKKKKKK, you are so welcome for those random facts of the day. I have absolutely zero idea why I felt compelled to share those things with you, but what’s done is done. And obviously as you all know and had your calendars marked for, today is a favorites day and I am here with all of my June favorites. Because it is almost the end of the month and I have a full week of birthday extravaganza posts coming next week, this needed to happen today!!!! So without further ado, here are my June favorites 🙂

I guess I was on a pink kick for this edition of Ciera’s faves.. but maybe you’re about that life. Hopefully you enjoyed my tell all and a quick edition of FAVORITASSS. Also so sorry for all of the aggressive typing. Adios pals.

Hey there,

Another post about Scottsdale won’t kill ya and maybe you even want to hear all about my trip 263632 different ways.. or maybe you don’t want to hear it at all. Either way, I’m tellin’ it. Now today’s post is of course about my favorite things that were either already in Scottsdale or brought there in my handy dandy suitcase that I could not have made it through the trip without. This list really has no rhyme or reason.. there could be restaurants, dogs, sunscreens, WHO KNOWS (well I know, you’re about to find out though) THE POSSIBILITES ARE ENDLESS!! So we are going to get right into it!

  1. Barrio Queen – the yummiest of Mexican food restaurants with the whole shebang from enchiladas to street tacos. The guac with pomegranate seeds in it is swoon-worthy let me tell ya. And don’t leave without buying one of their cute shirts!
  2. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen – if I could dream up the perfect sunscreen, it would be something that doesn’t turn my face white, not too thick, and SPF 30 or higher.. and that’s exactly what this guy does. It goes on clear, rubs in super easily and doesn’t clog your pores. My prayers have been answered!
  3. The dog at True Food Kitchen – it is very unlikely you will ever see him there because he was just some restaurant-goer’s dog, but just know he was the sweetest pupper. He put his head in my lap and just laid there. Best friends. <3 (sorry I can’t remember your name big guy, but if you’re reading this, ILY)
  4. My sunhat – Nowadays I am kinda like Howie in the Benchwarmers.. SUN BAD, it’s a monster, all that sort of stuff. But for real, I burn and peel like a lobster on my body but I always always always keep my face extra protected with a good hat. See photo here of me always paparazzi ready!IMG_5329
  5. Mint lemonade – they just so happened to have this at the Phoenician, the hotel we stayed at, but I am sure you could probably make it anywhere. Actually completely positive you could make it elsewhere because it was literally just some crushed up mint in lemonade.. still real good though.
  6. The bread at Dominick’s – I am not sure what they put in that stuff to make it so good, but it is heavenly. The parmesan roll thing is a cheesy dough of goodness and I think my stomach hit capacity when I ate 10 of them. Side note: they also have zots at Dominick’s which took me all the way back to mine and Brittany’s 7th grade mall days.
  7. The bikes at the Phoenician – these were my gift from heaven I am sure of it. The hotel provided bikes which guests could ride for 2 hours for free. It made it so much easier to get around town when the boys left us stranded at the hotel and saved me from the hell that is walking 2 miles in 100 degree heat to Starbucks.

And that’s about all I can think of for now. Maybe I will think of some other things and put it in next week’s post to really drag this thing out.. but probably not. Bye byeeeee!

Oppan ‘Gingham’ Style

Oppan ‘Gingham’ Style

Hey there,

Welcome back! It’s Wednesday in case you were wondering which means we are halfway through this long week. Is it just me or do the 4 days following a three-day weekend always feel longer than a 5-day week?? I don’t know, maybe that’s just me, and I really don’t know what I am talking about most of the time. Also if you read the title of this post and didn’t understand the pun, please take the travel back in time to 2012 and watch “Gangnam Style” a few hundred times, and then come back and tell me how funny I am.. trust me, I am.

I really wondered why I decided to make my ‘favorites day’ on a Wednesday, because when I think about it.. no one likes Wednesday and it is most definitely not my favorite day. But maybe at the beginning of these posts I thought to myself, the people need these posts on Wednesday and who am I to deprive them of such happiness and glory even on one of the most non-exciting days of the week?! I really have no idea if I thought any of this, just trying to paint a picture ya know. But now that you have this picture in your head, I am here to grace your feed, eyeballs, and life with my FAVORITESSSS!!!!!!

First off we have got another pattern of the season, which is gingham (hence the post title). Oddly enough this pattern kinda resembles a picnic tablecloth, but at the same time I kinda dig it. Like ya know how people say you look like a snack?? Imagine looking like a whole damn picnic?! What an honor!!

Number two goes to the unsung hero of my makeup routine. This primer is by far the best thing to ever touch my face since glitter eyeliner in ’09.. but really this stuff is ahhhmazing. I just happened to be in Ulta during their days of beauty sale and saw this Becca primer staring right at me, so I decided to give it a go. It gives you the perfect amount of glow and helps your makeup go on real smooth-like.. kinda like butta.

And third of all, the eyeliner for the record books. The Stila waterproof microtip eyeliner is the bomb diggity. It has the best tip like in the history of ever and makes putting on eyeliner decently easy.. I still don’t know how to properly apply it, so if someone could teach me how to do that maybe you could go on the favorites post next week?? But really this stuff is real real good.

So I hope you enjoyed my favorites and hold them near and dear forever.. or maybe you will forget about them the second you exit out.. who knows!
